ACE European Group (ACE) has promoted Wayne Harrington to UK & Ireland Manager, Environmental Risk and appointed Iain Harrison as Environmental Risk Underwriter, as part of the ongoing strategy to grow its environmental liability business and further support brokers in the market.
Harrington will be responsible for providing strategic underwriting direction for the environmental risk business across the UK and Ireland, including product innovation and distribution development. He launched ACE’s Environmental Risk unit in 2005 with Karl Russek, who has taken on a Global role as Senior Vice President, Environmental Risk for ACE Overseas General. Commenting on future opportunities for ACE, Harrington, said: “ACE Environmental Risk has already established itself with an excellent reputation for providing expert advice and underwriting skills in this growing market. The expanded team will be ideally placed to maximise new product opportunities in the UK and Ireland markets and offer brokers tailored support and underwriting to optimise their growth potential.”
